How would I know which size quick release skewer I would need for a mountain bike?
I have a mountain bike that has no skewer on the front wheel. I would like to buy a quick release skewer but I am unsure as to what size it would have to be, assuming that there are different sizes.
I looked at the rim and found that it is a Weinmann 520 rim with the measurements of 26 x 1.5/1.75. It has a Joytech hub. The hub looks pretty generic. There is no other info on the hub.
The rim/wheel looks like a pretty typical one, nothing special.
Also, do all quick release skewers come with the springs. I'm pretty sure I need the springs.

yeah thats standard just go to your bike shop and take your wheel the springs come with the skewer the front wheel is standard just measure to the outside of the dropouts.take a note on that size.
If it was a rear skewer there are differences if got more sprockets longer one required if 9 or 8 sprockets etc.
