Mavic Speedcity wheelset - opinions please..?
I ride an MTB bike to work and back, 15 miles a day. It's already evolved to be a fast bike, with big front cogs and a tight back cog. I only use it on roads in London.
I've been tempted by the Mavic Speedcity wheels, as they look sweet and fast and I need new wheels anyway. They will fit my bike, I ride discs and have checked the clearance for the back wheel, so no probs there.
Thing is, I read a review saying the back wheel can flex quite a bit, enough that you can feel it - but will this affect me riding roads?
Also, will the extra height affect my riding position, centre of gravity etc, much? I love the feel of my bike right now and wouldn't really want to change that, but also am not convinced that the extra height would have much of an effect.
To hear from someone that's already using these wheels on an MTB on the road would be excellent.
Here's hoping...
speedcity wheels are ok but check out mavic crossride wheels on the bikeradar site, you may be pleasantly surprised!
