How many calories do I burn by mountain biking?
I ride up a 3% grade slope for 12-15miles and it takes me about 1- 1 1/2 hours. Then I pedal back down but I do not think that really counts
Calculating calories burned requires your weight, effort (heart rate), time and you fitness level (plus other more minor factors)
In general 1 1/2 hrs of moderate cycling for a fairly fit person of average weight would use about 900 cal. Even coasting mostly back you'd burn about 200 for a 1100 total. That's just an estimate.
