How do i remove the black part of a rear wheel casseste hub?

i am using this to guide me i can get the 1st picture but not the 2nd pic how do i do that?
and its a sram and it don't tell me what part i need to remove it...so how do i do it?
The first picture is a freehub, the second shows a freewheel. This may help.

Edit:
If you have a SRAM cassette and a freehub the Shimano tool will work. Take the wheel to the bike shop and they can get you the right tool. You will need a chain whip to hold the cassette while you losen the lock nut.
