Which transfer case do I have? NP203 or NP205?
I just bought a 1978 K5 Blazer. It has a 400ci engine and TH350. I am trying to figure out which transfer case I have, but it has no shifter. I found a shifter ring in the truck and it reads- lo loc, lo, n, hi, hi loc. (Not sure if it is original). HOWEVER, the truck has manual lockout hubs on the front Dana 44. How do I tell if it is a 203 or 205?
Look for the small round tag that is affixed to the rear of the transfer case, the model # is stamped in it... my guess would be the new process 205
