Pictures and info on a '94 Trek 7000 bike with Mogul shocks, new seat, 26" wheels?
A co-worker wants to get a bike more suited to a triathlon, so she's selling her mountain bike. I've been looking for something that's used but good quality for a basic commuter bike, so this seems like it could be a good fit for me. She has the original receipt for the bike, $1,050 new, not counting the few year old Mogul shocks and brand new seat. Where are these shocks to which she refers - front fork area? I read the 7000's didn't have shocks, so I'm confused.
She said it was a 7800, but I can't find anything on a Trek 7800, so is that true?
The bike has had professional annual tune-ups and always garaged since new and all that - she's very good about taking care of her stuff. She didn't hit hard trails, just mostly simple riding.
What do you think?
Well, I believe it was listed on Craig's list in Spokane. But was removed. I suggest you see it as you don't really know what it is. If it's an old 7000 MTB, the mogal shocks are old too - came on mid 90's Treks only I think.
If it's be care for well it'll be fine for general riding. Of course it all depends on what the price is.
