Computer display HELP!!?
Hi guys, i have a pc that i havent had on in over 8 weeks, im selling it and i needed to delete all my files from it, so rather than do it all manualy, i selected to do a system recovery, the pc shut down as normal and then started to load up the pc recovery tool. however now the operating system has been corrupted and when i go to load it from the recovery disc, it loads ok for about 38% then the screen goes black and i keep getting a message onscreen saying "not optimum mode recommended mode : 1280 x 1024" in a box floating around the screen. why is it doing this? before i corrupted the OS i went into safe mode and changed the display to small screen size. even this didnt work, i dont have a graphics card and im using a samsung lcd monitor, it worked ok when i first put it on today now it keeps going black on me with this message and i cant reload windows. whats wrong?
Try a full install, not a recovery.
I also format the drive to get rid of any files that the install will leave behind.
