Bikes Made in China?
Bikes Made in China are everywhere these days -Walmart-KMart-Castco-other
My question is : who is designing these bikes and why the components are poor quality?
I bought a $100 dollar bike from WalMart last year and I was experencing the following problems:
1.aluminium rims that bend easily, broken spokes
2.rear wheel out of true just riding on the street
3.5 flat tires
4.the rear axle couldn't be adjusted
5.replaced the rear wheel
6.steel frame too have
7.plastic pedals
8.poor quality brakes,diificult too adjust
9.the seat clamp broke/the tube is not long enought
10.the springs are cheap like $5 doolars a piece
11.when riding this bike at the local park it feels really have and cheap and annoying.
12.makes annoying clicks all the time
13.the handlebar is not flat
14.it looks great outside but the parts and design is really bad
15.sometimes these bikes have steel pedals vs plastic ones but plastic shifters in others vs steel shifters.
Not all bikes made in China are the cheap crap that you've described. Many good bikes are made there, too. They are not the ones that cost $100. In a very competitive marketplace, you usually do get what you pay for.
