I bought new brakes and rotors for my 2005 Pontiac Pursuit 86,000 KM and there is some rust? Is that normal?
I am surprised, because when I look at other cars rotors, they usually have no rust on them at all. The drivers side has more rust than the passengers side.
I bought AC Delco Durastop pads and discs.
You mean there was rust on them before you installed them?
The reason I ask is because if there was rust on the rotors, after a couple of times applying the brakes, the rust should be gone. If they have rust on them after applying the brakes, then your brakes are not working correctly.
