Which bike should I buy? (See Details)?
I have $440. I went to a bike shop called Safety Cycle. They had a Raleigh Rush Hour for $560 (tax included) and a $299.99 Kromica Kromi. The Rush Hour had drop bars, Weinmann Dp-18 rims, toe clips,brakes, and etc etc. The Kromica came with nothing but weird ass grips, brakes, and no toe clips (I have to buy the toe clips and oury grips separately). Should I wait and buy the Rush Hour or buy the Kromi now?
I am not familiar with the Kromica bike. Both are single speed freewheel bikes. In other words, when you stop pedaling, they will coast - not like a fixie. You don't necessarily need toe clips - but it helps. Even on the Kromica web site, it didn't list a lot of specifics about the bike as Raleigh does. The Kromica is a flat bar. You shouldn't need any extra grips.
I hate to ride the fence - half on one side - half on the other - buy I'd say go back to the bike shop & ask specific questions that you want answered. The best I can tell you is that my local Raleigh dealer has a hard time keeping the Rush Hour in stock. They sell fast.
