Is solar energy the most promising solution for our growing fossil fuel problem?
When I was in college, my campus was visited by an 18 wheeler that ran completely on solar energy. It was created for the Greenpeace Organization and was making a tour of the continental US promoting the use of solar energy. That was about 10 years ago and I haven't heard much about the development since. Any word?
Solar energy is defineatly the future, the sun puts out more energy in 1 hour to the earth than the whole world uses in a month but we just havent figured out how to harness it the best. Nevertheless advances are made all the time but are just overshadowed by cars getting better mileage on gas and advances in hydrogen power. Its a long ways out still but it is the future.
