Was the logo used for Super Bowl XXV1 (2002) an alternative because of 9/11?
The logo used for Super Bowl 36 is very patriotic, displaying the continental US states in the flag colors. Since this was the first Super Bowl since the 9/11 attacks, I was wondering if this was truly the original logo planed for that year’s Super Bowl?
Because of merchandising and the great planning of the event, I know that the logo and other things associated with the event are planned well in advance and usually the logo incorporates a theme associated w/the city holding the event.
If the logo had been changed, does anyone have what the original one looked like? If you have it, it may be a great collectors item.
yes it was created after september 11th. the original, more representative of new orleans was scrapped.
