I need help with a 1989 toyota camry that's acting really weird?
We got a new car, and I was going to sell it, but now it's acting all weird, and I need to find out what's wrong with it before I can sell it. Here is what it's doing:
1. It is driving like I have the e brake on, but it is not on.
2. The brakes in the front are getting really hot and smoking.
3.When it starts acting up, the brakes get really hard and it will hardly accelerate past like 15 miles per hour.
4. I let it sit for about 20 minutes and it wont act like that, and that brakes get extremely loose.
5.The brake pads are fine.
6.I think it feels like the brakes are locking up.
How do you tell if there is a damaged brake line calibur, or booster? How do you determine which on is bad,(if that's even the case)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like the front calipers are sticking on causing the brakes to bind.
The problem gets worse as the brakes get hotter because the brake fluid expands and increases pressure on the braking system as a whole.
