Ford 302 vs Chev 350?

Anyone who wants to do a little bench racin give me you're thoughts, my dad and I are both building some cars for the local drag strip, he has a 66 mustang fastback GT, he is putting a 302 in it with gt-40p iron heads on it, with a roller cam with something like 274 duration with .570 lift, he is running a edelbrock performer intake on it with a holley 650cfm carb, he wants to run pop up's in it with something like 11-1 compression, headers and header mufflers, Im not sure what kind of gears it has in it but it has a 8 inch rear end. My car is a 78 z28 with an open 3.42 rearend in it, I have a 350 4 bolt main, my cam has 274 duration with .465 lift hydrolic flat tappet, roller rockers, headers with purple hornies, performer intake with quadrajet, K&N airfilter, with the big chamber iron heads ( I think compression is something like 8.5-1 or something sad like that, I have a shift kit with traction bars (dont know if they help at all) just shooting from the hip which one sounds faster?

66 mustang sounds faster

for the camaro
get the compression ratio up
better flowing heads and a roller cam and it may be close
but the mustang is still a good bit lighter
