Why Bursting Into Spontaneous Dance Is The Way To Go

Gonna have a party to release this thing thats on my mind

-Little Brother ft. Darien Brockington “Two Step Blues”

Hell yea, sometimes you just gotta dance. One of my co-workers once said that if he can go back in time, the moment he would go back to would be the very first moment a human being started dancing. There is something about just losing yourself to a groove that really makes you feel a whole lot better about everything.

We dance to celebrate life.

(1) Dancing Is A Way To Get In Touch With The Moment

When your hands and your hips are moving left to right, nothing else truly matters. All that matters is that the snare is making you snap back and forth and that your making funny faces. Sometimes you just gotta let go.

(2) It’s A Great Way To Make Your Body Fit

Dancing improves some posture problems that can result from modern living. So if your at a desk somewhere, get up and dance! It strengthens your heart and burns calories.  Aerobic activity means your heart rate is raised, which helps in weight loss.

(3) Feeling A Connection With Other People

Taking the time to look at everyone on the dancefloor, you realize everyone is there for the same reason. To have a great time! To feel good about being alive! So whether you are at the club, the mall or at work, get someone to dance with you, even for a second. You’ll realize that human beings were made to feel it this way.

(4) Just To Feel Grateful For Life In General

Dancing naturally releases endorphins. So there is a scientific reason as to why dancing makes us feel great. The endorphin boost helps us improve our confidence and allow us to achieve the things we want to achieve. When your dancing, you realize nothing really is that big of a deal. And this feeling of gratitude just starts to move through you.

So when your feeling low or feeling awesome, just start spontaneously dancing and you’ll realize that life is great. =)

when was the last time you spontaneously burst into a dance?

what are somethings you like to do that really get you into the moment?

Sometimes my wife, my daughter and I just break into a spontaneous dance when something good comes on the radio. Doesn’t matter when it happens, it always cheers everyone up, makes us smile, laugh and feel together. It only lasts for maybe 20 seconds to a minute, but that’s all that’s needed.
