Going to concerts is one of my favorite things to do in the world. Seeing my favorite bands play have always been my best memories.
There are many different reasons why you should always go see concerts.
(1) surround yourself with people who feel the same way and appreciate the same things you do
To me, the coolest thing about concerts is the fact you get to share space with people who appreciate the same thing about as much as you do. When people are singing along and dancing, going crazy to the music, it’s just an amazing experience. I’ve also definitely met a lot of my closest friends through concerts I’ve gone to. The connection I feel with other people from being at a concert compares to nothing else.
(2) gets you to experience the songs you love firsthand
What better way to see and hear the songs that have made a difference in your life other than seeing the artist perform them live? My favorite is when the artist does a bit of a remix of the song and it feels like I am hearing the song for the first time.
Also, since music is mostly downloaded nowadays, the best way to support your favorite artists is to see them live.
(3) breaks your normal routine
It is very easy to get stuck in the same activities day in and day out. Most people don’t even realize the zombie-like state they are living in.Like an adventure, going to a concert helps break the monotony and be a memory a person can be proud of forever.
(4) inspiration
I always feel really inspired to write words or music after seeing a concert. Whether its the extra jolt of energy from being around so many people or the feeling of “if they can do it, i can do it too”, I suddenly have all this energy to create with. Sometimes if I’m looking for the right phrase to use in a song, I always seem to be able to find it during a concert.
So yes, whenever you get a chance, always go see your favorite bands play.I guarantee you will have a great time.
what is your favorite concert that you’ve ever gone to?

My favorite concert was definitely Avenged Sevenfold, Buckcherry, and Papa Roach at the Allstate Arena last February. It was awesome! I don’t think I’ve been connected to a large group of people since. It’s kinda sad…
what up Tyler! oh man that sounds like a sweet concert. Papa Roach always puts on a great show. I still have yet to see Avenged Sevenfold and BuckCherry.
Totally agree with everything you say here Rocky, concerts are awesome for so many different reasons.
I’m really excited to be going to see Depeche Mode in just under a month’s time with my girlfriend. They are her all-time favourite band, and I think she never thought she would get to see them play live. I can’t wait, and neither can she. It’s going to be a magical night
Great post Rocky!
Thanks Chris! yea dude Depeche Mode’s gonna be sweet !
Hi Rocky. I really like this post and I understand what you mean. I never had experienced concerts before until the very end of college. I thought it was just over hyped, and until I actually heard the music blast my ears out, then I knew what it was about.
I think like you say, concerts are good because they let us bond with each other by sharing an interest and also lets us be near the artist, which makes the experience more authentic.

I miss going to concerts! With a few kids in tow, it’s tough to get out these days.
I can’t believe the last concert I went to was Aerosmith/Kid Rock/Run DMC about five years ago!
wow! that must have been an awesome concert to go to Gabe!
(5) Causes temporary deafness…just kidding! I love live concerts, especially when it’s a really good band. The last one I saw was Guns and Roses in Sydney. I must admit, I was never a fan and just went with a friend but I loved it!
