who know mountain bike well plz give me some advice to choose from this two bikes?

Im a beginer of mountain bike, now I want to spent around 300 AUD to buy a mountain bike, actually I usually ride on the road, I need a bike that is lighter and easy to go uphill and the tyre and rim should be strong.
I found two bikes, please help me to choose one or you can advise me to buy another one ,but please around 350 AUD.. thank you so much

Norco Mountaineer has MUCH better components. But still on the low end scale. The first bike listed is pure junk.
